REVIEWS
Orange Room
Let’s just say that for a 14-year-old boy who was going through puberty this is a great album. Yes, there are a few squeals and cracks making it obvious his voice was changing, but the quality of this self produced album is amazing. Few people know about this album, mostly because someone has been trying to keep this album from us. Maybe Ed is ashamed, as most of us are, of the things we do in the past. This album screams teenage angst. It has a few breakup songs, which would make sense given his pattern of breakup songs in his newer albums. The lyrics are still under developed but what else could you hope for from a 14-year-old who is writing and publishing his material all on his own. As for the reason iTunes refuses to sell any of his works prior to his (+) album is because they were all self published. Regardless, if you want to find the album you can click here. I give the album 4 stars because of its hard work and dedication. The lyrics and voice were immature, but for his age at the time it was great.
Ed Sheeran
This album is like the Ed Sheeran we all grew to love. This album was self released a year after Orange Room. His voice sounds exactly like the one used on the professionally produced albums. The production of this album is amazing compared to his first album. The amount of work done to produce this album at a young age takes talent because of the quality. The songs are about loss and problems people can relate to. One song in particular is about a person with an addiction who is try to find their way back home even though they had lost everyone they loved in the process of becoming addicted. This is confusing and weird that a boy could know so much about this subject to write and produce a song about it but it is understandable if you listen to The A Team on his (+) album. The only bad thing about this album is the length. It is really short and leaves you wanting more of its guitar chords and that melodic voice we have come to enjoy. I give this album 5 stars! It is nearly impossible to find this album, but if you want to hear it click here.
