ED SHEERAN

Edward Christopher Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire on February 17, 1991.

 

At the age of 11 Ed started to write his own music and by age 14 he had produced his first album.

 

Soon after, he decided to head to London and see what would happen to his musical career if he moved there with only a guitar and a backpack full of clothes.

 

Once in London he produced two new albums and was soon asked to be the opening act for various artists including Nizlopi and Jay Sean.

 

In 2010, the rapper Example discovered Ed after posting videos of himself singing. The rapper immediately reached out to him and asked him to be the opening act on his tour.

 

While on tour he managed to fill three new EPs and travel to the United States.Later that year Jamie Foxx asked Ed to appear on his Sirius talk show.

 

Shortly after the show Ed produced another EP and was quickly picked up by Atlantic Records the second the record reached No. 2 on the iTunes chart.

 

Quickly after, he released his first studio album (+), which sold millions of copies worldwide.

 

Soon big time artists like Taylor Swift and One Direction want to write songs with him.Taylor Swift became such a fan that she asked Sheeran to go on her (RED) tour with her.

 

With the roll of success, he was asked to write songs for movies like The Hobbit, which became a huge hit.

 

During this long journey Ed managed to produce another album (x) and he is now on his biggest tour yet.
